The inimical Liam Gallagher of Oasis pointing to a white line on Wembley Stadium’s hallowed turf.
The ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ tour was to be the last ever for the band.  Drunken rows and bitter arguments were tearing them apart even though they were brothers.  The 19th October gig at Wembley Arena was broadcast live in the United Kingdom and Ireland on MTV and on 24 October Oasis broke ticket sales for a single day in the UK selling over 500,000 tickets in 7 hours.
Photographer Andy Wilsher recalls: “It was shot at Wembley stadium, while they announced what would be their last ever shows together.”
Shortly after this image was taken Noel Gallagher released a statement saying: “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”
This is an archival pigment print and comes in a frame behind glass.
